Ben's on screen debut took place in Michael Moore's landmark documentary film Roger and Me. This scathingly ironic story depicts Michael's relentless and inventive quest to get General Motors' chairman Roger Smith to visit his home town of Flint, Michigan, which was devastated by the shutdown of GM factories. The film went on to become the highest-grossing, non-concert documentary of all time.
During the traverses of his historic journey, Michael Moore introduces the world to a young Ben Hamper, who just happens to be a close, personal friend. Click on a link below to watch Ben's segment in its entirety.

In the summer of 1999 Michael Moore produced and directed a new series entitled Michael Moore Live. The show aired only in the UK, where Michael's popularity has reached new heights. It was during this time that the UK was also formally introduced to Mr. Ben Hamper. The Brits and their underlying colonies haven't been the same since.
